As a member of the Drilling, Completion and Intervention Central technical team, you will be involved in domestic and international drilling and completion activities with a focus on delivering safe, low cost production. You will have the opportunity to participate in design, assurance and execution phases of projects across the E&P portfolio.
You will use your expertise to:
Lead peer reviews, peer assists both locally and regionally
Support both operated and joint venture assets
Assist with the preparation and execution of operational readiness reviews
Represent DCI in business development work
Perform offshore well design and time,cost estimation activities
Assist with the preparation of asset and industry benchmarking
Support project gate reviews, audits, lessons learned sharing
Ensure consistent processes and practices across regions
Provide a focal point for Well Delivery Model implementation and governance
Mentor Co-op students / junior engineers

Must-haves (minimum requirements):
10 years + of technical/operational experience in both onshore and offshore drilling and completion activities.
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Registration or eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGA).
Strong project management skills gained through experience of multi discipline, complex projects.
Ability to lead technical change through all steps of innovation, development, risk management, implementation, training and sustainment.

Preference for:
Strong understanding and working knowledge of gated project delivery processes.
Proficiency in Landmark drilling engineering and probabilistic estimating software.
Well Abandonment experience

You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
