Path Finder FAQ
Q1. What am I committing to by signing up?
The Career Pathing commitment is one 30-minute conversation with your connection.
If your Career Guide (mentor) offers to connect on LinkedIn or continue the conversation after your session that's cool with us, but Path Finders should not request additional meetings with their Career Guide (respect their boundaries and time!)
Q2. What do I do not hear back from my connection after I send them an email to set up a meeting?
Being ghosted sucks! Our Chic Geek curators try their best to remove unengaged members, so if you are connected with an individual who is not responding send us a note at support@thechicgeek.ca. We will find you a new connection ASAP and follow up with the individual.
Q3. Can I chat with you about what to expect as a Path Finder?
Always! Get started with these resources, and if you have any questions, book a chat time with a curator here.
Q4. What if I am no longer available to make a connection?
At Chic Geek, we believe that strong relationships with others starts with healthy relationships with ourselves. If at any time you feel that you do not have the space or capacity for Career Pathing, please let us know. No hard feelings! This way we can ensure that the matches we are making can reach their full potential, and we promise to save you a seat for when you are ready to jump back in.
Q5. Can Career Pathing help me find a job?
While Career Pathing isn’t a job-finding service, it can connect you with folks who are hiring. However, we recommend going into each conversation with genuine curiosity, not directly asking for a job.
Career Pathing is designed to be used as ongoing career development and a long-term investment in yourself.
